8. Conclusion and Bibliography

CONCLUSION

There is a very interesting characteristic in the movement founded by Reverend Moon that is the non-sectarianism. Religious leaders of all religious backgrounds (including, Buddhism, Xintoism, Hinduism, Orthodox, Evangelical and Catholic) participate in projects and meetings sponsored by Reverend Moon in the entire world. Not only religious persons, but also scientists (including Nobel Prizes) and political leaders share the same reconciliation and peace vision of Reverend Moon.

Reverend Moon never complains the injustices he suffered. He even promoted a media Conference in the Soviet Union who was his enemy that tried for several times terrorist actions against him. The same was on the meeting with the President of North Korea, Kim Il Sung (November 30 on December 17, 1991). Even though in the past more than 70 books against Reverend Moon were published in North Korea, one year after the meeting of Reverend Moon with Kim Il Sung, in the occasion of the Kim Il Sung’s birthday, Kim Il Sung recognized Reverend Moon as a person very important to North Korea and himself. The government palace where Kim Il Sung met Reverend Moon was built in the place of Hung Nam’s labour camp. The meeting happened after 40 years of Reverend Moon’s liberation from Hung Nam.

Reverend Moon works arduously for the union of Korea and Japan in order to establish world peace foundation.

The history will decide if the critics to Reverend Moon are fair or not. But it is upto the reader do his own research. Here is the site that can supply more informationon Reverend Moon and his Unification movement: http://www.reverendsunmyungmoon.org
